Kerala Roots
Akhilesh comes from Kappamvilla, a village in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He completed his schooling at Amritha HSS, Paripally, and his professional graduation at SHM Engineering College, Kadakkal.
Kerala gave him more than an education. It gave him a way of seeing trade as something rooted in people, craft and community.
Family Inspiration
He is the grandson of Charuvilaputhanveetil Gopinathan Pillai (late) and Kamalakshiamma, and of Mavelikonam Chellappakurup (late) and Radhamani Amma. He is the son of G. Kamalesh Kumar and Sheela Kumar (late), and brother to Akhila Kamalesh.
ASTIN is more than a company. It is a heartfelt promise from a son to his beloved mother, born out of love. Guided by that love, he dreams of showing her the world, and of carrying Indian excellence to it.
The Bahrain Journey
He began his career at Al Saj, Kazhakootam, and later moved to Bahrain with the support of his brothers Abhilash Suresh Baby Kamalam and Aneesh Suresh Baby Kamalam.
Bahrain became a second home, and the place where the idea of connecting India with the GCC first took shape.
Professional Journey
In Bahrain he built his professional HSE career with the Kingdom Group of Companies in the Asphalt Division. Years of working with systems, standards and accountability shaped how he thinks about building a platform people can rely on.
The ASTIN Origin
The journey started with a simple belief: Indian businesses deserve smarter access to global customers.
ASTIN Aspire to Inspire Private Limited was founded to make that possible, beginning with India → GCC commerce. Indian brands, manufacturers and wholesalers keep their product, their price and their brand, while ASTIN connects the commerce, the combos and the logistics.

The current focus is India → GCC commerce. In later phases, ASTIN plans to expand into Wholesale, Services, Classifieds, Digital Products, AI Services and Global Trade, always with the same foundation of trust, unity and mutual respect.
